My SLT2022/SLT1987 Thoughts:

Following the basic ideas from the SLT2021 Relief Bill 1987 disk. 7 teams. Basically two choices: 4-man rotation and 48 game season, or 5-man and 60 game season. The two options would give us a 4- or 5-game home-and-home series against every opponent. Extra starters for the 5-man would be 9zs, 10s, and 8z. Early leans: 48: Greg, Jim, Graham 60: Keith, Ken Either: Gregg, Steve Free Agent Draft: if we do a round robin, then FA draft, that would mean FA draft at midseason. Seems odd. But it could work. That also limits scheduling. No injuries, no sixth starters. 21 GS rotation eligibility 25 round draft since no 5th and 6th starters 26 round if we have 5th starter 7-team tournament similar to SLT2020. #1 gets a bye, everyone else plays in quarters. I'd suggest that #1 plays the lowest seed alive in semis. ---- General Player Usage: 48 games: The old 100% rule changes to: 48g / 162 = .296296296296 so we round that up to 30% example: player who played 154 MLB games can play 46 SLT games. The old 150% rule (SBA, IP, GS) changes to: (48g*1.5) / 162 = .444444444 so round that up to 45% example: player with 68 MLB SBA gets 31 SLT SBA. 30% and 45% for 48 game season --- 60 games: The old 100% rule changes to: 60g / 162 = .370370370 so we round that down to 37% example: player who played 154 MLB games can play 57 SLT games. The old 150% rule (SBA, IP, GS) changes to: (60g*1.5) / 162 = .5555555 so round that up to 56% example: player with 68 MLB SBA gets 38 SLT SBA. 37% and 56% for 60 game season ---- For CF 7-game series usage, I tried to multiply the recent 60 game rule by 80%: Original rule: 0 - 10 games 0 11 - 19 games 1 20 - 39 games 2 40 - 59 games 3 60 - 79 games 4 80 - 99 games 5 100 - 125 games 6 126 - 162 games 7 60 game rule: 0 - 3 games 0 4 - 7 games 1 8 - 14 games 2 15 - 21 games 3 22 - 28 games 4 29 - 36 games 5 37 - 45 games 6 46 - 60 games 7 48 game rule: 0 - 2 games 0 3 - 5 games 1 6 - 11 games 2 12 - 17 games 3 18 - 22 games 4 23 - 29 games 5 30 - 36 games 6 37 - 48 games 7
